Job Description

The qualified candidate will be responsible for the sale of power conversion systems (inverters) and power electronic systems into the fast growing energy storage marketplace. The sales engineer will join a committed and energetic team as they continue to develop the energy storage power electronic marketplace, leveraging the strong and growing track record of the leadership position in the US and Global energy storage marketplace.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include supporting the existing client base and the development of new clients for the application of the company’s power conversion technologies and energy storage systems. This position is responsible for the development of technical and commercial proposals in accordance with the customer specifications including contract documents, and initial cost analysis. This role will require travel and an account management focus.

Requirements

An understanding of the various power conversion systems that have been used in the renewable energy (specifically Wind and/or Solar) is required and energy markets, battery technology, and micro grids is preferred. An understanding of the manufacturing of power conversion systems and a solid sales background in power electronic or custom engineered products for high dollar value projects is a requirement.

Desired Skills and Experience
Excellent English language skills, both written and oral are a necessity in this position. These skills need to include the understanding of technical specifications, drawings, tender documents, reparation/development of cost estimates, written proposals and sales presentations of both a technical & commercial nature. Microsoft suite of PC programs is a requirement.

Experience

Proven capitol sales experience, ideally power conversion equipment, product application and improvements, sales/warranty administration and the implementation of organizational business strategies as they apply to the sale of the company’s products is necessary. The qualified candidate should have proven communication skills in interfacing with customers, business units and product managers, and proven success in achieving corporate objectives and customer satisfaction. Individual needs to be a structured and organized self-starter who can work independently as well as in the team environment.

This position requires national and international travel; sometimes on short notice. Fluency in multiple languages a plus.

Education

Focuses on Power Electronics, power system software, energy trading and/or Renewable energy systems, with a Bachelor Degree in Physics or Engineering specializing in drives, Power Electronics and/or Electric Power Systems ideal.
