a) Must be at least 21 years of age.
b) Must be an active status NAUI Dive Leader and equipped in accordance with NAUI standards. OR Meet prerequisites for NAUI Leadership courses including those for Divemaster or Instructor
c) Possess passion for scuba diving and/or free diving.
d) Previous experience working with youth and a desire to work with them.
e) Must have strong communication and human relation skills.
f) Must be able to work and live well in often-crowded conditions in a remote setting.
g) Able to work closely with other staff members and work as a team.
h) Self-directed learner, planner, and worker.
i) Good character, integrity, flexibility, enthusiasm and patience.
j) Able accept supervision and guidance.
k) Must carry dive accident insurance (ex: DAN).
l) Have current First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer or equivalent (on-site training provided).
m) Lifeguard certification preferred (on-site training provided).
n) Valid U.S. driver’s license preferred.
a) The weekly rate of pay as indicated on your contract.

g) The opportunity to develop teaching and leadership skill as well as interpersonal and management skills.
a) Develop, organize and teach (or assist with teaching) scuba diving courses as assigned. Course offerings range from Try Dive/Discover Scuba through Master Diver including some specialties. Snorkeling through beginner free diving courses are also offered. Other classes may include hiking, kayaking, snorkeling and some science labs during our one week sessions.
b) Keep all program areas neat, clean and SAFE.
c) Develop supplementary material for programs as needed.
d) Adhere to safety rules, company policies and procedures for the well being of campers and staff.
e) Facilitate operations on the dive deck, including filling cylinders, organizing program equipment, ensuring cleanliness, and assisting in incidents and emergencies.
f) Act as head Divemaster on board our diving vessels.
g) Keep comprehensive records of all dives with campers. Complete paperwork required to issue certifications.
h) Comply with NAUI and CIMI standards and policies and procedures when teaching classes.
i) Attend all meetings, leadership and instructional sessions.
j) Assist with dorm supervision and inspection and arrival/departure procedures as assigned.
k) Provide and/or attend evening programs and activities when necessary or assigned.
l) Interact with campers outside of class sessions to help ensure the success of the program.
m) Work the necessary hours to get the job done, assist other departments when available.
n) Assist with the between session clean-ups
o) Follow and enforce all camp rules and policies.
p) Other duties as assigned by the Dive Director or Camp Director.
a) Must be able to effectively work with the campers, supervisors and other staff.
b) Ability and willingness to communicate any problems with staff or campers to the Dive Director.
c) Good physical condition with the mobility, visual and auditory skills to maintain control of 8-15 campers in a variety of environments (in the water, during learning sessions, on hikes, etc.).
d) Ability to properly respond to emergency situations and enforce appropriate safety rules.
e) Knowledge and ability to teach dive classes as assigned in all open water environments.
