Job Description

Environmental Consulting & Technology, Inc. is looking for a Project Manager to join our Natural Resources team in Gainesville, Florida. Successful candidates will have 12+ years of experience working in the State of Florida on Natural Resources based projects including wetland delineations, threatened and endangered species and environmental permitting.   

Duties & Responsibilities: 

1. Project Management of natural resource-based projects in Florida  

2. Conduct wetland delineations, threatened and endangered species surveys and environmental permitting projects 

3. Build agency relationships and represent ECT as our professional expert at conferences and industry events 

4. Manage and mentor junior and mid-level staff in areas of training, product quality and health & safety 

5. Encourage communication and coordination with team members across ECT offices and service lines 

6. Utilize strong client skills for business development opportunities 

7. Help diversify ECT’s clientele through marketing activities 

Education & Experience: 

· B.S. or equivalent required; M.S. or equivalent preferred 

· 10 to 15 years of experience as an environmental consultant; 7 or more years of project management experience also required 

· Environmental Engineer, PWS, Certified Ecologist or other Natural Resource Certification required 

· Professional wetland scientist, botanist, biologist, wildlife ecologist preferred 

· NEPA/FERC experience desired 

 Job Essentials: 

· 20% travel requirement; fluctuates based on client demands 

· Primary duties are located within an office environment with occasional field work 

· Capable of working outdoors occasionally in hot and humid conditions 

· Valid driver’s licensee with clean driving record 

· Excellent verbal and technical writing skills
