Field Scout: We are a 2,000 acre family owned alfalfa and hemp farm, located 150 miles Northwest of Las Vegas, in a small town called Rachel. We are in an isolated location. This season we are looking for workers to help with in the hemp field as well as general farm labor. We are looking for hard-working individuals with attention to detail, have leadership skills, and are physically fit. The job includes planting the hemp, scouting the hemp fields, field work, harvesting, and general labor around the farm. We will train you and have an orientation on your first day. We start pay at $13-hour, potentially working 60-70+ hours per week. Sundays would be optional work days, if you need to do personal errands or have religious obligations. We are agriculturally exempt from paying our employees overtime. We do provide housing, utilities, and wifi. With that being said it will be communal living, shared bedrooms and bathrooms. You will be responsible for food, personal items, gas, and transportation. The closest grocery store is approximately 60 miles away, in a town called Alamo. We also have Schwan's food delivery that comes every other week. We do require you to have your own transportation or the ability to carpool with someone, 2 valid forms of ID, and Verizon cell phone service. We are also a dry farm and we don't allow drinking on the farm property. We also don't allow any smoking in the fields, especially the hemp fields, as well as in the structures and equipment. This is a zero tolerance policy. We also conduct random drug tests. We are looking to build a hard working team for this summer to making this season successful.
