More information can be found at www.dsm.com DSM North America, Inc. seeks a VP, Business Development Americas for its Parsippany, New Jersey location. Develop and implement business and sales plans for DSM’s Solar Strategy and solar in the US solar market with new or existing products. Develop and implementing DSM’s Solar Strategy within the assigned region. Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the value chain; and collecting customer feedback for DSM’s internal organization/stakeholders. Leverage DSM network of product development, research and development, and business support services to coordinate technical activities for proof of concept and trials of new technologies currently being developed for customers in the U.S. solar industry. Develop solar market segments with products by validating value propositions in the value chain with strategic partners (including solar glass producers, solar module producers, and solar energy park owners); proposing and testing new business models to extract maximum value; and collecting customer feedback for DSM’s internal organization/stakeholders. Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Marketing or a related field and five (5) years of experience as a New Business Development Manager, Director of Business Development, or a related position within the broad solar energy market industry. In the alternative, employer will accept seven (7) years of experience as a New Business Development Manager, Director of Business Development, or a related position within the broad solar energy market industry. At least five years of experience must include each of the following: applying knowledge of solar module manufacturing processes, including materials qualifications and testing, module assembly, lamination, flash test, and packaging; knowledge of IEC and UL solar panel certification standards; business development within the solar energy market; and knowledge of solar energy market global technology trends and solar market dynamics. At least three years of experience must include: reliability testing for structured solar glass coatings and co-extruded polymeric backsheet for solar module application; and experience on the impact of new materials on solar module performance, solar system performance and bankability. Up to 50% international and domestic travel required. May telecommute from any U.S. location.
