Jacobs is NASA’s largest engineering solutions provider working alongside NASA at centers across the United States\. We have the unique and significant role to partner with NASA at Johnson Space Center \(JSC\), to be part of every human spaceflight program – the International Space Station \(ISS\), NASA’s Orion spacecraft, which will carry astronauts into deep space, and Gateway, the orbiting platform providing the home for astronauts to work and travel back and forth to the moon’s surface, and serving as the platform for deep space exploration\. From critical systems on the ISS to enable astronauts to live and work in space; to performing advanced development for systems leading to deep space exploration; to being part of the foundation for Gateway\. We also partner with NASA at JSC, the only NASA center in the United States to curate all astromaterial samples returned from exploration missions, to perform curation services, orbital debris analysis, and basic research to further humankind’s understanding of the origins of our solar system\. We need you to be a part of our team\! We are currently in need of a **Senior Project Manager** to join our team\. Do you have the following skills? As a **Senior Project Manager** you will: + Perform project management for the upgrade and configuration of multiple chamber upgrades to support vacuum, ambient pressure, thermal, and thermal vacuum testing to support NASA test objectives\. + Perform project management of facility upgrades to support the development and testing of the Exploration EMU \(xEMU\) next generation spacesuit\. + Perform cost estimating and management functions\. + Review essential paperwork and documents for tasks assigned, such as Detailed Test Procedures \(DTP\), as needed\. + Review and evaluate the quantity, quality, and overall adequacy of results and conclusions drawn from accomplishment of engineering tasks\. + Select and apply engineering techniques and procedures to analyze and evaluate specific problems, data, or other features of the work which are broad in scope and complexity\. + Perform job functions based on pre\-established guidelines or instructions\. + Perform other duties as required\. **Qualifications** **Required Education/Experience/Skills:** _This position has been posted at multiple levels\. Depending on the candidate's experience, requirements and business needs, we reserve the right to consider candidates at any level for which this position has been advertised\._ + BS degree in engineering from an accredited engineering school and a minimum of fourteen \(14\) years of direct engineering experience, or a MS degree from an accredited engineering school and twelve \(12\) years of direct engineering experience, or Ph\.D\. degree and nine \(9\) years direct engineering experience\. + Excellent verbal communication and written presentation skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills\. + Experience in a test environment\. + Strong computer skills and experience in utilizing software tools such as Microsoft Word and Excel, Office, Outlook, Project, and/or Smartsheet\. + Able to make independent, technical and tactical decisions with a high attentiveness to detail\. + Strong skills in project management\. **Preferences:** + Fifteen \(15\) or more years of experience in a test environment with previous build\-outs of human rated vacuum chambers\. + Experience in Aerospace testing environments\. + Familiarity with the NASA/JSC facility development and Engineering Life Cycle processes\. + Working knowledge of the NASA/JSC drawing system JSC 8500\.4, the Engineering Drawing Control Center \(EDCC\) and Design and Data Management System \(DDMS\)\. + Ability to become certified as a human\-rated test director, which requires passing an Air Force Class III physical\. **Why Work on Our Team?** Click on the below links to view just a small sample of all that we do\!
