Kipp & Zonen is the specialist in the measurement of solar and sky radiation, from the ultraviolet to the far infrared. Our pyranometers, for example, are used in meteorological networks around the world. Furthermore, our expertise and close links with the scientific community have led to high-end solutions for the measurement of atmospheric properties such as stratospheric Ozone, UV Spectra and evapo-transpiration. Our mission is to satisfy the fundamental need to monitor atmospheric properties related to climate change, classical meteorology, agriculture, renewable energy and the available water budget. For our production site in Delft we are looking for a highly motivated Service Engineer (in house) ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: + Analyse defective products, specifically solar sensors and sun trackers (see www.kippzonen.com) + Assess, repair and guarantee issues related to faulty measuring instruments (mechanical, electronic, optical) in order to identify faulty parts/mechanism + Informing the Technical Sales & Service Engineer about outcomes analysis and proposing actions for repair (including input for cost estimation by CS Representative) + Repair and calibration: + On the basis of a work order, picking up the required materials from the warehouse + Performance of standardized repairs on the company's products + Taking care of the repair report + Calibration of instruments according to established procedures and guidelines + Preparation and delivery of repaired/calibrated product and work order to the Logistics Assistant + Assist in holiday replacement in the Customer Support department (inside sales), especially for translating messages from and to the German language.
