Denton, GA | Solar GroupOverviewPRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITIONResponsible for learning the trade while assisting with preparation, handling, and supplying of materials to be used by other crafts.EXPECTATIONS OF ALL TEAM MEMBERSHigh quality, professional work product performed with initiative, productivity, a positive attitude and behavior. Perform clerical duties for the safety team in alignment with Mortenson's guidelines1. Manage daily correspondence and incoming calls for the safety team2. Maintain records securely for the project safety team3. Provide data entry into the Event Management System for the Engineering staff4. Prepare materials for safety meetings5. Capture and prepare safety meeting minutes6. Incorporate all safety processes and safety procedures that support the project closeout phase7. Update safety plans at the direction of the safety engineersB. Assist with office setup and maintenance1. Coordinate the project office setupa. Document control systemsb. Office machines and filing cabinetsc. Space planning and traffic flow.d. Inventory of PPE and order through i-proC. Help plan and coordinate Project Safety CelebrationsD. Administration of craft workers1. Track safety logs2. Organize safety reporting as needed for the teamE. Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levelsF. Other duties as assigned, including:1. Act as the welcoming agent to site visitorsa. Provide maps and directionsb. Check in with the Project Manager or Project Superintendent2. Provide support to the Engineers for all project closeout proceduresa. Manage the document duplication, scanning, printing, transmitting, and archiving3. Process fingerprint requests and badge applications for staff and subcontractors4. Schedule, track, and log repairs and maintenance for the work trucks5. Act as main contact for EMS communications during emergency eventsa. Coordinate with the Project Superintendent(s) on emergency response situationsQualificationsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESA. Strong detail orientation and capability to proofread effectivelyB. Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to be flexible as neededC. Proficient skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, as well as Lotus NotesD. Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedbackE. Proven positive and professional attitude and strong customer service skillsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSA. Associates or Bachelor's degree preferredB. Minimum three years of administrative support experienceC.
