Origination Intern Reporting to the Manager of Wholesale Origination, the Origination Intern is responsible for supporting the Origination team with power marketing and market research tasks as well as the completion of one or more key projects to be jointly scoped. The primary objective is to help support the Origination team in both daily functional tasks and customer engagements as well as longer-term strategic analysis of key opportunities in target markets. Principle Responsibilities/Key Results Areas + Support Origination team with utility-scale wind and solar-related power marketing activities. + Support the Origination team in building and improving functional tools and processes. + Undertake market and customer research focused on existing and new addressable markets in the US and support various portfolio-related workstreams. + Assist in various administrative tasks, customer outreach and education efforts, as well as ad-hoc projects. Requirements Knowledge & Skills + Ability to prepare marketing materials, presentations and proposal materials needed to pitch origination opportunities to customers. + Strong aptitude for analytical and financial modeling with demonstrated attention to detail. + Superior verbal and written communication skills and high level of attention to detail. + Highly motivated self-starter, friendly personality, and good team player. + Working understanding of the energy industry including regulated and de-regulated electricity markets and project financing structures and key value drivers. + Effective organizational skills including the ability to independently prioritize and manage competing priorities and deadlines. + Able to work well with geographically dispersed, cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. + Strong desire to advance the adoption and deployment of renewable energy solutions across North America. + Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel. Experience & Education + Pursuing undergraduate or graduate degree in business, economics, engineering, or mathematics + Previous experience in project finance, renewable energy, or other transactional industries is preferred + Proven experience in performing quantitative and qualitative analysis of assets which produce a predictable, long term stream of cash and tax attributes
