We have the unique and significantrole to partner with NASA at Johnson Space Center \(JSC\), to be part of everyhuman spaceflight program – the International Space Station \(ISS\), NASA’s Orionspacecraft, which will carry astronauts into deep space, and Gateway, theorbiting platform providing the home for astronauts to work and travel back andforth to the moon’s surface, and serving as the platform for deep spaceexploration\. From critical systems onthe ISS to enable astronauts to live and work in space; to performing advanceddevelopment for systems leading to deep space exploration; to being part of thefoundation for Gateway\. We also partner with NASA at JSC,the only NASA center in the United States to curate all astromaterial samplesreturned from exploration missions, to perform curation services, orbitaldebris analysis, and basic research to further humankind’s understanding of theorigins of our solar system\. We need you to be a part of ourteam\! We are currently in need of a **Technology Development Engineer** to joinour team\. Do you havethe following skills? As a **Technology Development Engineer** you will: + Participate in NASA’s ongoing preparations for cold/cryogenic sample return from Solar System bodies such as the Moon, comets, icy moons, etc\. + Define, implement, and design laboratory tools and instrumentation for cold/cryogenic sample transportation and storage of cold extraterrestrial samples\. + Develop sample handling tools and containment gloveboxes using CAD software\. + Develop vacuum chamber systems for simulating Lunar and Martian conditions for scientific studies in the Planetary Exploration and Astromaterials Research Laboratory\. + Assist with the definition and communication of laboratory design requirements for new cold sample return laboratories\. + Coordinate maintenance and upkeep of current and new facilities/laboratories and equipment\. + Take part in regular domestic and international meetings \(remotely and in\-person\) and telecons, including as a presenter or meeting leader\. + Prepare Standard Operating Procedures \(SOP\) for new laboratories processes/instruments\. + Sustain a safety\-first laboratory culture\. + Perform other duties as required\. **Qualifications** **RequiredEducation/Experience/Skills:** _This position has been posted at multiplelevels\.
