Jacobs is NASA’s largest engineering solutionsprovider working alongside NASA at centers across the United States\. We have the unique and significantrole to partner with NASA at Johnson Space Center \(JSC\), to be part of everyhuman spaceflight program – the International Space Station \(ISS\), NASA’s Orionspacecraft, which will carry astronauts into deep space, and Gateway, theorbiting platform providing the home for astronauts to work and travel back andforth to the moon’s surface, and serving as the platform for deep spaceexploration\. From critical systems onthe ISS to enable astronauts to live and work in space; to performing advanceddevelopment for systems leading to deep space exploration; to being part of thefoundation for Gateway\. We also partner with NASA at JSC,the only NASA center in the United States to curate all astromaterial samplesreturned from exploration missions, to perform curation services, orbitaldebris analysis, and basic research to further humankind’s understanding of theorigins of our solar system\. We need you to be a part of ourteam\! We are currently in need of a **ProjectManager \- Life Support Systems** to join our team with MRI,a JETS teammate company\. Do you have the following skills? As a **Project Manager \- Life Support Systems** you will: + Perform project management functions incoordinating and supporting flight hardware products and systems developmentphases, such as: design, procurement, fabrication, test, data analysis,certification, and flight/mission delivery\. + Provide direction to matrix organizations in therequirements development, design, manufacturing, testing, and certification offlight hardware\. + Review essential paperwork and documents for tasks assigned, such as Task Performance Sheets \(TPS\), Discrepancy Reports \(DR\), and Detailed Test Procedures \(DTP\), as needed\. + Plan and execute hardware troubleshooting to investigate flight hardware, development or qualification test articles, or test support hardware\. + Review and evaluate the quantity, quality, and overall adequacy of results and conclusions drawn from accomplishment of engineering tasks\. + Select and apply engineering techniques and procedures to analyze and evaluate specific problems, data, or other features of the work which are broad in scope and complexity\. + Perform other duties as required\. **Qualifications** **RequiredEducation/Experience/Skills:** _Thisposition has been posted at multiple levels\. Depending on the candidate'sexperience, requirements and business needs, we reserve the right to considercandidates at any level for which this position has been advertised\._ + BS degree from an accredited science school and a minimum of fourteen \(14\) years direct scientific experience, or a MS degree from an accredited science school and twelve \(12\) years of direct scientific experience, or Ph\.D\. and nine \(9\) years direct scientific experience\. + Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to coordinate support from a wide range of technical disciplines\. + Knowledge of commonly\-used concepts, practices, and procedures in the field \(including space flight hardware development and certification processes\), such as mechanical system design, engineering drawings and sketches, material selection, environmental testing, and office software\. + Ability to visualize and work with complex mechanical systems and work with others in problem solving as part of a team\. + Able to organize and prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines and schedules and to work unsupervised for long periods of time\. + Perform cost and schedule estimating andmanagement functions\. + Perform risk management including riskassessment and implementation of risk reducing measures\. **Preferences:** + Familiar with JSC organizations, processes, and procedures\. + Background in flight hardware development, testing, and certification\. + The ability to coordinate support from a wide range of technical disciplines\. + Familiarity with the Engineering Life Cycle process\. **Why Work on Our Team?** Click on the below links to view just a small sample of all that we do\!
