We have the unique and significantrole to partner with NASA at Johnson Space Center \(JSC\), to be part of everyhuman spaceflight program – the International Space Station \(ISS\), NASA’s Orionspacecraft, which will carry astronauts into deep space, and Gateway, theorbiting platform providing the home for astronauts to work and travel back andforth to the moon’s surface, and serving as the platform for deep spaceexploration\. From critical systems onthe ISS to enable astronauts to live and work in space; to performing advanceddevelopment for systems leading to deep space exploration; to being part of thefoundation for Gateway\.
We also partner with NASA at JSC,the only NASA center in the United States to curate all astromaterial samplesreturned from exploration missions, to perform curation services, orbitaldebris analysis, and basic research to further humankind’s understanding of theorigins of our solar system\.

We are currently in need of a **ProjectManager \- Life Support Systems** to join our team with MRI,a JETS teammate company\. Do you have the following skills?
As a **Project Manager \- Life Support Systems** you will:
+ Perform project management functions incoordinating and supporting flight hardware products and systems developmentphases, such as: design, procurement, fabrication, test, data analysis,certification, and flight/mission delivery\.
+ Provide direction to matrix organizations in therequirements development, design, manufacturing, testing, and certification offlight hardware\.
+ Review essential paperwork and documents for tasks assigned, such as Task Performance Sheets \(TPS\), Discrepancy Reports \(DR\), and Detailed Test Procedures \(DTP\), as needed\.
+ Plan and execute hardware troubleshooting to investigate flight hardware, development or qualification test articles, or test support hardware\.
+ Review and evaluate the quantity, quality, and overall adequacy of results and conclusions drawn from accomplishment of engineering tasks\.
+ Select and apply engineering techniques and procedures to analyze and evaluate specific problems, data, or other features of the work which are broad in scope and complexity\.
+ Perform other duties as required\.

+ BS degree from an accredited science school and a minimum of fourteen \(14\) years direct scientific experience, or a MS degree from an accredited science school and twelve \(12\) years of direct scientific experience, or Ph\.D\. and nine \(9\) years direct scientific experience\.
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to coordinate support from a wide range of technical disciplines\.
+ Knowledge of commonly\-used concepts, practices, and procedures in the field \(including space flight hardware development and certification processes\), such as mechanical system design, engineering drawings and sketches, material selection, environmental testing, and office software\.
+ Ability to visualize and work with complex mechanical systems and work with others in problem solving as part of a team\.
+ Able to organize and prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines and schedules and to work unsupervised for long periods of time\.
+ Perform cost and schedule estimating andmanagement functions\.
+ Perform risk management including riskassessment and implementation of risk reducing measures\.
+ Familiar with JSC organizations, processes, and procedures\.
+ Background in flight hardware development, testing, and certification\.
+ The ability to coordinate support from a wide range of technical disciplines\.
+ Familiarity with the Engineering Life Cycle process\.

+ Must be a U\.S\. Citizen and successfully complete a U\.S\. government background investigation\.

Generally an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task\.
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods \(90% of time\)\. May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs \(5% of time\)\.

Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical\. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required\.
