We are seeking new associates who are motivated to contribute their talents to making cost-effective solar energy an important part of the worlds energy mix.-Primary Job Functions:Basic Job Functions:The primary responsibility of this job is to continuously improve recycling, process water .and.amp; waste water treatment systems at existing and new site locations in accordance with First Solar and local/federal regulatory safety .and.amp; environmental requirements. This person will conduct and coordinate process improvement activities and oversee project contractors and vendors to ensure that the process modifications are completed safely, on time and within the budget. They will be responsible for safety and environmental compliance performance of the construction team during projects. This person will be responsible to ensure corporate plant designs and specifications are being effectively attained during all phases of the process modification projects and that the process design intent is met. This person will also assist with new plant design concept development, detailed engineering design reviews, vendor selection, project planning and management, and plant startup/commissioning globally in new plant sites and/or process modifications/upgrades at existing sites. International travel required.Experience:Masters degree with 5-7 years experience (or a Bachelors degree with .and.gt; 7 years experience) in chemical process development including product quality improvement, chemical process optimization, transitioning a R.and.amp;D process into manufacturing.Experience in statistical data analysis and design of experiments.Experience in managing consultants, vendors and contractors.Material handling systems design, piping design and process control design experience.New process plant start-up, process troubleshooting .and.amp; hazardous material experience.Education:Masters degree in Engineering, preferably chemical or mechanical.Required Skills/Competencies:Technically excellent at developing and using physical and chemical analysis techniques to conduct research .and.amp; development trial runs.Skills to read and interpret Process .and.amp; Instrumentation Drawings, detailed engineering design drawings and bill of materials (electrical, mechanical, civil, process controls, etc.).Strong statistical analysis and chemical process development skills.Strong drive to transfer ideas to practical use in chemical process manufacturing environment through all stages of process development including process qualification.Project management skills to control project schedule .and.amp; financial budget.Chemical process operations skills with ability to coordinate process engineering activities with night shift operations crew members .and.amp; multiple vendors / contractors.Industrial equipment erection, installation, start-up, and troubleshooting experience.Strong mechanical and process control aptitude with troubleshooting skills.Fluent computer skills in (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, MS Access, and AutoCAD).Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Essential Responsibilitie
