For more information, visit Reporting to the Manager, Portfolio Management, the Analyst - Valuation & Tax will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate compliance of the company’s property tax obligations and landowner reimbursements for property taxes. This role will also provide general analytic, valuation, and administrative support to the Portfolio Management team. Responsibilities: + Manage and maintain all aspects of the corporate property tax bill pay function, including the timely approval and payment of property tax bills + Ensure compliance with all internal controls and policies with respect to all CEG property tax liabilities + Interact with an external property tax compliance provider to maintain up-to-date database of all property tax data and documentation + Assist with calculation and/or validation of landowner reimbursement payments for property taxes + Timely perform and track landowner reimbursements and address any landowner inquiries about such payments + Interact with Assessor Offices to acquire property assessment workpapers and property tax bill information + Interact with Property Tax Collection Offices to confirm receipt of property tax payments as necessary + Support property tax budgeting and forecasting process + Assist with improving and documenting internal property tax payment processes + Support general document management, filing in SharePoint, and reporting as necessary + Provide analytic and valuation and support to the Portfolio Management team Requirements Knowledge & Skills + Strong background in Finance, Accounting, SAP, AP and/or Data Management + Proficient in MS Excel, as well as MS Office suite + Ability to perform well under pressure on teams in a demanding environment and occasionally work extended hours to meet project deadlines + Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills + Self-motivated, highly organized, and detail oriented Experience & Education + Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, IT/data, or Business Operations. + 2+ years of professional experience in business administration, accounting, operations, financial analysis, economics, or similar. + Experience working in property tax highly desirable. + Experience manipulating and managing large amounts of excel-based data highly desirable. + Business analytic skills highly desirable.
