We have the unique and significant role to partner with NASA at Johnson Space Center \(JSC\), to be part of every human spaceflight program – the International Space Station \(ISS\), NASA’s Orion spacecraft, which will carry astronauts into deep space, and Gateway, the orbiting platform providing the home for astronauts to work and travel back and forth to the moon’s surface, and serving as the platform for deep space exploration\. From critical systems on the ISS to enable astronauts to live and work in space; to performing advanced development for systems leading to deep space exploration; to being part of the foundation for Gateway\.
We also partner with NASA at JSC, the only NASA center in the United States to curate all astromaterial samples returned from exploration missions, to perform curation services, orbital debris analysis, and basic research to further humankind’s understanding of the origins of our solar system\.

We are currently in need of a **Project Engineer \- Power Systems** to join our team with MRI, a JETS teammate company\. Do you have the following skills?
As a **Project Engineer \- Power Systems** you will:
+ Support the several power and battery system projects through hardware development, manufacturing, and assembly; in addition to troubleshooting anomalies and resupplying hardware\.
+ Work in a team environment, and report to project lead or project manager for technical support, task assignment, and processes\.
+ Plan and execute hardware troubleshooting to investigate mechanical and electrical failures with hardware\.
+ Generate essential paperwork and documents for tasks assigned, such as Task Performance Sheets \(TPS\), Discrepancy Reports \(DR\), and Detailed Test Procedures \(DTP\), as needed\.
+ Interact frequently with other JETS teams and departments\.
+ Perform job functions based on pre\-established guidelines or instructions\.
+ Perform other duties as required\.

+ BS degree in engineering from an accredited engineering school and ten \(10\) years of direct engineering experience, or a MS degree from an accredited engineering school and eight \(8\) years of direct engineering experience, or Ph\.D\. and four \(4\) years of direct engineering experience\.
+ Self\-motivated, team player and adaptability to a dynamic environment and the ability to complete all assignments as required
+ Must have experience with battery and battery charger system design
+ Experience with NASA/JSC Class I flight hardware process and certification
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills and will be expected to effectively interact with customers and management at all levels
+ Ability to prepare written documents and to verbally present at various meetings
+ Must have the ability to visualize and work with complex mechanical/electrical systems and work with others in problem solving as part of a team
+ Must be able to organize and prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines and schedules with limited supervision
+ Familiarity with Microsoft Office products
+ Experience with flight hardware processing for spaceflight\.
+ Familiarity with common hand tools and proficiency using them to perform assembly, disassembly, and troubleshooting on mechanical and electrical systems\.
+ Prior experience with hardware anomaly troubleshooting and failure analysis\.
+ Experience with procedure development\.
+ Familiar with Johnson Space Center \(JSC\) organizations, processes, and procedures\.
+ Co\-op or Intern experience at JSC or other NASA agency\.
+ Familiarity with the Engineering Life Cycle process\.
