We have the unique and significantrole to partner with NASA at Johnson Space Center \(JSC\), to be part of everyhuman spaceflight program – the International Space Station \(ISS\), NASA’s Orionspacecraft, which will carry astronauts into deep space, and Gateway, theorbiting platform providing the home for astronauts to work and travel back andforth to the moon’s surface, and serving as the platform for deep spaceexploration\. From critical systems onthe ISS to enable astronauts to live and work in space; to performing advanceddevelopment for systems leading to deep space exploration; to being part of thefoundation for Gateway\.
We also partner with NASA at JSC,the only NASA center in the United States to curate all astromaterial samplesreturned from exploration missions, to perform curation services, orbitaldebris analysis, and basic research to further humankind’s understanding of theorigins of our solar system\.

We are currently in need of a **SeniorStructural Analysis Engineer – Fracture Control** to join our team with **HX5** , a JETS teammate company\. Do you have the following skills?
As a **SeniorStructural Analysis Engineer – Fracture Control** you will:
+ Provide expertise in fracturecontrol processes as used in the design, development, test, evaluation andprocessing of aerospace hardware\.
+ Advise on the solution of fracturecontrol related problems; Participates in technical reviews as required\. Participates in the effort of identifyinganomalies and serves as a technical expert providing engineeringrecommendations, as required for resolution of any associated problems orissues\.
+ Evaluate compliance of flighthardware against established fracture control requirements\.
+ Perform other duties as required\.
_This position hasbeen posted at multiple levels\. Depending on the candidate's experience,requirements and business needs, we reserve the right to consider candidates atany level for which this position has been advertised\._
+ BS degree in engineering from an accredited engineering school and five \(5\) years of related engineering experience, or a MS degree from an accredited engineering school and four \(4\) years of related engineering experience, or Ph\.D\. from an accredited engineering school and zero \(0\) years of related experience\.
+ Ability to effectively utilize oral and written communication to express technical concepts and recommendations to personnel at all technical and managerial levels\.
+ Ability to work effectively, rationally and quickly in real\-time environments of rapid\-change, conflicting requirements, and occasional pressure\.
+ Familiarity with NASA\-STD\-5019, AIAAS\-080/AIAA S\-081, and NASA\-STD\-5009\.
+ Familiarity with NASGRO\.
+ Familiarity with ASTM standards forFracture mechanics testing\.
+ Understanding of Failure Analysis\.
+ Familiarity with conventionalAerospace metallic materials, and manufacturing processes that create flaws,affect fracture properties\.
+ Understanding of Composite Materials\.
