We have the unique and significantrole to partner with NASA at Johnson Space Center \(JSC\), to be part of everyhuman spaceflight program – the International Space Station \(ISS\), NASA’s Orionspacecraft, which will carry astronauts into deep space, and Gateway, theorbiting platform providing the home for astronauts to work and travel back andforth to the moon’s surface, and serving as the platform for deep spaceexploration\. From critical systems onthe ISS to enable astronauts to live and work in space; to performing advanceddevelopment for systems leading to deep space exploration; to being part of thefoundation for Gateway\. We also partner with NASA at JSC,the only NASA center in the United States to curate all astromaterial samplesreturned from exploration missions, to perform curation services, orbitaldebris analysis, and basic research to further humankind’s understanding of theorigins of our solar system\. We need you to be a part of ourteam\! We are currently in need of a **Computational Aerodynamics Analyst** to join our team with **OceaneeringSpace Systems** , a JETS teammate company\. Do you have the followingskills? _Thisis a full\-time temporary position not to exceed the end of September 2020\._ As a **Computational Aerodynamics Analyst** you will: + Provide aerodynamic analysis and consulting services for various NASAPrograms, including the advancement of supersonic retro propulsionunderstanding and capabilities\. + Perform Computational Fluid Dynamics \(CFD\) simulations + Computational grid generation using Overset mesh techniques + Compute solutions with varying jet configurations at variousaltitudes and velocities + Post process solutions to determine effectiveness of SRP technique + Advise on test and analysis best practices\. + Perform other duties as required\. **Qualifications** **RequiredEducation/Experience/Skills:** _Thisposition has been posted at multiple levels\. Depending on the candidate'sexperience, requirements and business needs, we reserve the right to considercandidates at any level for which this position has been advertised\._ + BS degree inengineering from an accredited engineering school and a minimum of ten \(10\)years of direct engineering experience, or an MS degree from an accredited engineeringschool and eight \(8\) years of direct engineering experience, or Ph\.D\. and four\(4\) years of direct engineering experience\. + Expert in re\-entryvehicles including supersonic and hypersonic flows, aerodynamics, trajectories,aerothermodynamics, and impact of jet interaction\. + Expert in CFD methodsand techniques for fully viscous flows\. + Expert in iterativecomputational mesh \(grid\) development and refinement based on flow fieldsolution quality\. + Familiarity with supersonicretro propulsion\. + Familiarity with shockboundary layer interaction\. + Ability to reduce data\(experimental and computational\) into plots that clearly illustrate the keytake\-aways and compile results into documents with clearly articulatedconclusions and recommendations\. + Experience with runningparallel simulations using High Performance Computers\. + Experience withscripting languages \(preferably Python\)\. + Experience withvisualization tools like \(Fieldview, Tecplot, Gnuplot, etc\.\)\. + Excellent communicationskills and the ability to work isolated and remotely or in a group\. **Preferences:** + MSor Ph\.D\. in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering\. + Oversetgrid techniques\. + OVERFLOWCFD solver and grid generation with Chimera Grid Tools and Pointwise\. + Experiencewith CAD tools \(AutoCad, Solidworks, etc\.\)\. + Experienceperforming CFD solutions in the Martian atmosphere\. **Why Workon Our Team?** Click on the below links to view just a small sample of allthat we do\!
