Ameresco’s Operations & Maintenance Group has a new opportunity for an Electrician trained and experienced with medium voltage work, who will be responsible to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair on commercial-scale, PV Solar Systems, Project sites are located throughout the State of Massachusetts.
Recognizes safety hazards and follows safety guidelines for personal protection, protection of fellow workers and the protection of the public;
Reads and interprets instruction manuals, blueprints and control system drawings; applies knowledge to daily tasks;
Completes written and electronic records (i.e. work orders, calibration sheets, timecards, material requests) required to document the work in progress and as it is completed;
Maintain, troubleshoot, test, inspect and repair all medium voltage equipment on PV Solar, Systems, from the Utility owned equipment up to but not including the inverters. Ameresco will provide training for this work;
Drive and operate a utility-rated bucket truck; and
Perform other duties as required.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
2 years experience working on commercial solar facilities.
Current Journeyman Electrician License in Massachusetts.
Experience working with 13.8 KV primary transformer, relays and other medium voltage work a plus.
Knowledge of electricity, voltage and current relationships for both AC and DC circuits.
Knowledge of Medium-voltage PV Solar components a plus.
Experience driving and operating a utility-rated bucket truck
Valid Drivers' License in good standing, issued by state of residence.
Ability to successfully complete position training and testing requirements.
Ability to push, pull, bend, stand, stoop, lift, carry, reach, climb, hear, see, and work on ladders for extended periods of time with hands and arms at heights to install and troubleshoot equipment.
OSHA training and certification preferred.
Travel and flexibility for ‘on call’ support or varied schedule needs.
