Role Summary:The Power Electronics Global Commercial Leader is accountable to deliver order intake and margin on orders targets for the SVC, STATCOM solutions world-wide.
She/he is leading directly all Commercial and Sales activities for SVC/STATCOM in relationship with all other entities within or outside of Grid Solutions, it can be either as a CoE support (particularly for the NAM, LAM markets) or as an overall tender lead (Rest of the World).
+ The Commercial Leader is a leader for achieving quarterly objectives as well as the overall mid-term commercial targets.
+ The candidate will be the manager of the Power Electronics business development/tendering teams based in Tampere, Finland ; Paris, France ; Noida, India ; São Paulo, Brazil ; Sydney, Australia and Stafford, UK and owns the corresponding budget including offer support by OTR/Operations teams.
+ The Commercial Leader is the prime interface of the Grid Solutions’ regions for Power Electronics prospects, bids, and thus accountable to gain alignment and support on all SVC/STATCOM deals.
+ She/He is also accountable to fully respect GE’s processes of bid go/ no go and approval. The Commercial Leader for Power Electronics will also elaborate commercial strategy (prospect/project early identification, spec-in, pricing, risk profile, win-loss analysis…) on key deals, elaborate the most competitive offer (should-cost, pricing analysis, interface with OTR/Operations teams…) and pursues them to their conclusions such as direct commercial negotiations if need be.
+ Generally, the Power Electronics Commercial Leader addresses all needs of commercial support related to the SVC/STATCOM aligned with the Product Line Global Commercial leader to whom she/he reports.
+ The Commercial Leader is a member of the CoE leadership team and provides commercial/market feedback on Continuous Improvement needs and product management/NPI inputs.
+ Master’s degree in Engineering, Business or equivalent from an accredited university or college or equivalent knowledge or experience
+ Knowledge of FACTS business and solutions is a strong plus
+ Major experience in Commercial
+ Significant experience in a management role
+ Known track record on achieving commercial targets
+ Strong ability to manage a multi-cultural team in a matrix organization
+ Fluent in English
+ Orders, As sold margin, Down Payment, NPV
+ Commercial efficiency (Sales and Tendering costs, market share by region/techno; hit rate; nbr of deals by tendering head …)
+ Cost adherence from ITO to OTR
+ Resource mapping and associated tendering workload
+ Strong oral and written communication skills.
+ Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
