The Safety Coordinator will oversee all aspects of safety in the Solar factory to include training, policies, and working closely with management, supervisors, and associates to ensure everyone adheres to all safety policies and procedures.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Develop company health and safety programs and policies and manage programs that ensure safe working conditions
+ Conduct training informing employees of company health and safety plans and promoting safe practices
+ Maintain record of all training provided to associates
+ Work directly with all associates to ensure compliance with safety and site-specific regulations
+ Coordination with other departments such as production, maintenance, and material
+ Implement and educate associates on a zero accident culture at workplace
+ Identify improvement needed and provide solutions for safety programs
+ Conduct and investigate all safety issues and incident and provide recommendation for correction action
+ Conduct audits of policies and procedures for all safety programs in the factory
+ Be proactive on policies and procedures needed to be compliant with all US laws
+ Supervise employee activities and inspect company equipment and property to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
+ Handle accident reports, make sure records are properly filed, and identify strategies for preventing future accidents.
+ Bachelor’s Degree
+ 3 years of health and safety experience in manufacturing field
+ OSHA 30 Hour Required
+ OSHA 511 Desirable but not required
+ Knowledge and experience of Machine Guarding, Lock-out/Tag-out, and Orientation of new employees are required
+ Understanding and knowledge of production processes
+ Able to read, write, and communicate in English
+ Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide
+ Good computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office preferred
+ Team player in a manufacturing environment
+ Interpersonal skills"
