Currently, ManTech is seeking Top Talent as a **Solar Analysis Technical Advisor** to assist the Department of Energy's Solar Energy Technical Office (SETO) in Washington, DC. SETO aims to make solar energy a low-cost electricity source for all Americans through research and development efforts in collaboration with public and private partners. The DOJ (Department of Justice) Division provides cyber solutions to a wide range of Defense and Intelligence Community customers. The **Solar** **Analysis Technical Adv** **isor** will be responsible for: + Leveraging his/her solar and energy sector analytical expertise and creativity to provide strategic guidance and support to DOE on the use of federal funds to reduce the non-hardware costs of solar energy (soft costs, e.g., permitting, financing, and labor). + The candidate’s analytical expertise can be in such areas as modeling, data analytics, techno-economic analysis, and/or energy market analysis. + Working within a highly-motivated team to develop new funding opportunities, programs, and other funding mechanisms to reduce the soft costs of solar energy. Tasks can include research and analyses to inform funding activities, writing topics and other materials, evaluating applications, and negotiating awards. + Managing a portfolio of projects and/or programs, providing technical guidance and oversight to awardees, and preparing quarterly performance assessments. + Attending industry conferences and events to stay up-to-date about solar industry needs and provide recommendations for SETO program improvements. + Lead or contribute to stakeholder engagement or technical assistance activities related to soft costs. **Clearance Requirements: Applicants must be a US Citizen and Ability to obtain a DOE Public Trust (Must obtain Public Trust clearance prior to setting start date)** **Required Skills/Qualifications:** + BS degree in Science, Engineering, Business, Public Policy, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees (MS, PhD and/or MBA) preferred. Must have 10 years of related experience in lieu of a degree. + 5-10 years of experience in renewable industry, energy policy, utility, or other energy-related fields. + Strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation, consensus-building, and analytical skills with the ability to work successfully in cross-functional teams in an organized, fast-paced environment while meeting time sensitive deadlines. + Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex process and production issues using multiple disciplined teams and data driven analysis. **Physical Requirements:** + Sedentary work. + Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing/walking/Talking. + ​Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one work site to another. + Communicating with others to exchange information.
