Job Description

A Field Service Representative serves as a company technical and administrative representative, deals with customer service assignments including on-site preventative maintenance and inspection service work, responds to callout services, and performs commissioning activities on Solar gas turbine packages in the service area of the New York District.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:

Be able to provide preventative maintenance, commissioning, trouble call, diagnostics, and repair services while working independent or in a diverse team environment.

Be able to plan and execute major interventions on schedule and within budget.

Ensure accurate communications and reporting between immediate Solar management and customer representatives.

Be able to work individually or with assigned FSR's on preventative/corrective maintenance.

Demonstrate the capability to utilize a multi-disciplined approach and use sound technical judgment towards maintenance, repair, commissioning and trouble-shooting of complex technical problems.

Understand and comply with Solar and customer HSSE policies and procedures.

Ensure all maintenance and commissioning activities are carried out in accordance with Solar Engineering specifications, recommendations and best practices.

Be capable of reading and using applicable drawings, ladder logic, and technical manuals.

Experience with Aviation Airframe and Power Plant experience (A&P)
Technical certification (e.g. Degree, HNC/ HND, ONC, C&G, Aviation Engineer's license, Marine Engineers Certificate, UTI, MMI)
Experience in one or more of the following areas:
Shop Floor Mechanics (SPM 379-380)
Test Cell Technicians (QTT)
Engineers with Shop Floor or Test Cell Experience
Must have demonstrated excellent performance in current and prior positions
Must possess a high energy level, sense of urgency, the ability to work independently or in a team environment
Problem solving, business acumen, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for success in this job
