JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE As a key contributor to the Law Department, the Law Department Administrator / Legal Assistant is the lynchpin to smooth daily departmental operations. Under the direction of General Counsel, the Law Department Administrator / Legal Assistant performs a variety of support and coordination functions in furtherance of Law Department programs and activities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES .and.amp; RESPONSIBILITIES * Provide support and coordination for a wide variety of law department and compliance related functions and initiatives including training, legal resources database, information security, intellectual property protection, third party due diligence, corporate governance, Enterprise Risk Management projects (including product liability risk minimization) and records management. * Serve as lead Administrator for the Law Department's e-billing system, including training, onboarding vendors and maintaining process and billing documentation. * Serve as a single point of contact for vendor relations, including troubleshooting e-billing issues on behalf of departmental, business unit and outside legal personnel. * Perform all billing related responsibilities for the corporate legal department including review and verification of invoices, timekeeper rate review, resolution of complex billing issues, electronic invoice processing, assignment of allocation codes and responding to various inquiries. * Manage engagement of outside counsel on new matters and assure outside counsel compliance with Billing Guidelines and all other Law Department requirements. * Communicate with vendors regarding billing/invoicing procedures and guidelines, matter assignments, reporting and budget requirements. * Liaise with key Finance stakeholders to effectively manage financial data and information, as well as reconcile all accruals and forecasts. * Prepare and assist in the preparation of legal documents such as nondisclosure agreements, contracts, policies and procedures, affidavits, correspondence and other documents and instruments for review, approval and use by law department attorneys. * Manage and coordinate the administration of third-party due diligence program, including interfacing with IT, communicating with employees across all business units, tracking stages, documenting activities and managing annual certifications. * Coordinate, administer and track law department training initiatives including in-person and on-line training sessions, documentation of trai
