JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE Under the direct supervision of the VP of Quality, the Quality Manager -Supplier for of the Advanced Materials Group (AMG) will assess supplier risk, implement Materion supplier expectations, measure supplier performance, and work with the Materion Supply Chain team to improve overall supplier performance. The manager will enhance and maintain systems and procedures that will improve the overall quality of the supply base, conduct supplier audits and facility surveys of potential critical providers. Individual will stay in close contact with the sourcing/ purchasing function and/ or Supply Chain Director and will function as an information resource to customers and to various company departments when special and critical quality issues occur. Individual will recommend and approve suppliers in the Supplier Qualification and Approval process. ESSENTIAL DUTIES .and.amp; RESPONSIBILITIES * Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, evaluation and compliance of the Supplier quality program. * Ensures purchase orders include required supplier quality provisions based on the contract or customer PO. * Manages the Supplier requests for deviation and the supplier change management program. * Responsible for assuring all key product characteristics (CTQ's) are identified on drawings and specifications for supplier's materials (components or chemicals), including implementation of ship to control requirements. * Worka with suppliers to assure their processes are stable and in control. * Manages the supplier CAR process, including Supplier Performance Improvement SCARs. * Supports purchasing, strategic sourcing and engineering to implement supplier cost saving initiatives. Activities include coordinating efforts to assure all testing is completed to qualify new/modified or improved supplier components or chemicals * Conducts regular supplier reviews and develops/maintain supplier scorecards to evaluate performance and assure quality and delivery goals are met. * Responsible for evaluating suppliers based on engineering and quality requirements established for components or chemicals supplied. * In conjunction with Materion Supply Chain, will develop, maintain and implement the
