JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE The Staff Accountant is responsible for a multitude of monthly recurring duties including preparing account reconciliations, preparation of various monthly financial reports, management of weekly payroll processing and various accounting projects. ESSENTIAL DUTIES .and.amp; RESPONSIBILITIES * Participate in month-end close activities including the preparation and review of journal entries. * Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reporting packages at month-end including monthly cost center spending reports. This analysis includes ensuring expenses are recorded to the appropriate account, making any necessary accruals, and providing explanations to management regarding variances to budgeted/forecasted spending levels. * Prepare monthly reconciliations of assigned balance sheet accounts and ensure that general ledger accounts are reconciled with resolution to reconciling items. * Record lease accounting entries and ensure leases are properly documented and managed throughout the company. * Reconcile intercompany accounts and resolve any issues. * Help ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures. * Assist in upgrading financial reports in One Stream accounting consolidation software system. * Responsible for the fixed asset accounting for all corporate locations. Work closely with department leadership, ensure spending is properly accounted for and that projects are closed out and capitalized in a timely manner. * Coordination of accounting matters with other departments, locations, or divisions. * Process and reconcile payroll on a weekly basis. * Assist with requirements of both internal and external auditors during quarterly and year-end audits. * Assist with various SEC reporting responsibilities including XBRL tagging and proofreading 10-K, 10-Q and earnings release. * Work on special projects as needed. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE * 1 to 3 years of accounting experience. * BA or BS in Accounting. * Proficient at Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point. * Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. * Ability to work
