But,we leave it up to you to shape our future and your career aspirations.The Buying Coordinator works with the Plant Buyer for the procurement ofhigh-quality ingredients in volumes consistent with plant usage, marketstructures and division guidelines. You will set up logistical movements ofcontracted ingredients via rail and truck conveyances, with the overview tominimize freight costs. This includes monitoring the progress of theseconveyance movements to constantly maintain optimum inventories, whileprotecting scheduled production, and minimizing ingredient substitutions aswell as rail/truck detention.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Arranges logistical transportation for prescribed ingredients used at theDenver plant.Assembles the requisitioning of ingredients purchased by the St. Louis BuyingStaff via guidelines set forth through our M.R.P. systems.Responsible for departmental Objectives, Goals, Strategies and Measures.Monitor elevator bin space, liquid tanks, and flat sacked ingredient floorspace in collaboration with Unloading Team Leader.Assist with the successful implementation of our Quality Assurance guidelinesfor incoming ingredients.Utilize and be proficient with information systems; SAP, IngredientNavigator, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, and input/maintainfright invoice data.Other duties as assigned.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (MINIMUM)Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)Experience: One year of experience in a procurement or logistics role withina manufacturing, industrial, military environment, or related environment.It is our business imperative to remain a very inclusive workplace.To our veterans and separated service members, you're at the forefront ofour minds as we recruit top talent to join Nestl Purina.
