Role Summary:This is a newly created role and start-up of new Sourcing team in the Service Organization. You
will use your experience and expertise to achieve year by year savings, lead cost out programs,
develop and execute objectives for self and others, responsible for short/mid/long-term business
goals. As the Sourcing Lead you will lead a team of Sourcing Specialists and Buyers to support
our Global Service Operation for Offshore Wind (OFW).
+ Lead team of Sourcing Specialists and Buyers for Service organization O&M OFW
+ Implement and improve processes
+ Develop and mentor talents, as well as define appropriate priorities and training plans
+ Create request for quotations (RFQ) and organize competitive biddings from various suppliers
to obtain the best quality, delivery, and price for indirect and direct spend by driving the team
+ Prepare supplier-spend forecasts and responsible for yearly and Ad Hoc negotiations with
+ Drive supplier selection, supplier evaluation and supplier performance
+ Monitor developments and trends within the global supply base and ensures GE OFW is
prepared to react appropriately
+ Contracts, SLA’s, NDA’s etc.
+ Drive continuous cost and lead time reduction ensuring business needs are met
+ Develop and drive effective operating rhythm to ensure RFQ to requisition to po placement,
purchase order book status review, PO date maintenance and weekly reviews are executed
+ Monthly savings reporting PPV
+ Review and continuously improve on processes/procedures whilst ensuring compliance with
QMS for the area of responsibility
+ Reporting as needed to support business needs
+ Experience in Sourcing, Procurement processes and Supply Chain Management (SCM)
+ Experience driving change
+ Commercial understanding and strong influencing. leadership and negotiation skills
+ Positive mindset and “can do” attitude
+ Fluency in English
+ ERP (e.g. SAP, Oracle) experience
+ ISO 9000 / ISO TS knowledge
+ EU Work Permit
If contracted in Spain:
Non-national candidates are responsible to know the minimum documentation requirements to be able to be contracted in country: NIE- Social Security Affiliation Number in Spain (NAF) and Bank Account in Spain. They must be in possession of them at the time of start hiring. GE will not sponsor this requirement.
+ Experience in the wind industry, automotive, aviation, rail, service & Maintenance, field service,
spare parts environment will be advantageous
+ Technical background and ability to interpret technical drawings is highly advantageous
