Republic is also the only company in our industry that is a certified Great Place to Work. **POSITION SUMMARY:** The Senior Account Executive – Compactors is responsible for identifying leads, proactively prospecting and selling new and profitable business within an assigned geographic area. The Senior Account Executive – Compactors meets regularly with prospective new clients in his or her assigned market area to deliver sales presentations, follow up with key decision makers and sell compactor equipment, including total waste stream management solutions, as appropriate. The Senior Account Executive – Compactors also acts as a subject matter expert (SME) and resource for other Republic Services team members within his or her assigned market which includes joint sales calls and collaborating with operations and maintenance personnel to configure compactor equipment solutions for customers. **PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Identify viable leads, manage prospects and acquire new, profitable compactor business to meet and exceed monthly established targeted revenue goals. + Follows up on compactor leads received by the Lead Generators within 24 hours and always creates a follow up task in Salesforce to determine the next step. + Utilizes Salesforce on a daily basis, schedules and documents all activities, and develops robust information profiles on prospective customers to facilitate acquisition of new customers. + Prepares and delivers sales presentations to prospective new clients; follows up with key customer decision makers to close sales. + Completes consistently scheduled phone blocks and cold call prospecting activities to establish initial and follow-up appointments with decision-makers. + Develops and maintains an awareness of market behavior and competitive trends in designated markets to anticipate changing customer needs. + Responsible for coaching and developing the Account Executives and Account Managers on compactor equipment including participating in joint sales calls. + Maintains a thorough knowledge of Republic Services owned compactor equipment and equipment available through approved manufacturer partners including technical compactor equipment components. Knowledge should include appropriate electrical service requirements, correct equipment measurements, orientation and required compactor features, as appropriate, to grow targeted profitable revenue and contribute to company goals and objectives. + Completes required Customer Service Agreements, reports and other paperwork in a timely manner and in accordance with company policy. + Regularly meets with Sales Manager(s) in assigned geographic area to review weekly customer retention and relationship activities, progress versus goals and status of key customer relationships. + Builds relationships with compactor manufacturer partners and compactor equipment personnel within assigned geography. + Will be assigned to be a mentor by Sales Manager(s) as necessary. + Performs other job-related duties, as required. **QUALIFICATIONS:** + Bachelor’s Degree or 10 years relevant sales experience (Required) + Minimum of 5 years direct selling experience in a customer-facing role that includes identifying and addressing customer needs (Required) + Waste or service industry experience (Required) + Valid driver’s license (Required) + Equipment sales experience, preferably selling compactor equipment **The statements used herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of the work being performed by an employee in this position, and are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of responsibilities, duties and skills required by an incumbent so classified.
