Clearway Energy Group is looking for a Telecom Administrator to join its IT team. This position will provide design, installation, configuration, upgrade, and maintenance support for all telecommunications solutions. This position will report to the Director of Infrastructure within the IT group and will be located in our Houston office. Principle Responsibilities/Key Results Areas + Installs, configures, maintains, and upgrades components/systems that support Clearways various telecommunications applications and hardware + Meets with users to collect, analyze and document requirements for telecom solutions + Troubleshoots and diagnoses problems. Works with multiple vendors and makes recommendations for process improvements + Orders equipment and maintains telecom inventories + Supports the telecom billing process and inventory system + Manages aspects of the telecom vendor relationships and performance + Will provide IT and Business leadership with key metrics to inform budgetary decisions + Will define, scope and implement the standards and architecture for a new MDM solution + Performs testing of component/systems and may develop test plans + Setups user access to systems and/or services. Creates and updates profiles, permissions, and maintains user accounts + Will work with the Clearway IT network team to review network traffic for potential problems and/or increasing performance of communications systems + Forecasts and justifies needed resources for budget preparation + Provides technical coaching and mentoring to less experienced team members. + Develops and implements contingency plans including reliable backup and restore procedures for telecom systems + Complete tickets assigned in telecom queue and respond within agreed SLA’s + Perform client consultation and training on telecom products and accessories + Issue instructions/orders to telecom vendors + Build and maintain runbooks for Clearways Telecom systems and tools + Support the infrastructure, network and operations IT teams on telecom needs for new site implementation + Overall champion of Clearways telecommunications systems Requirements Knowledge & Skills + Ability to use PC software at an advanced level + Ability to perform many concurrent assignments and determine the need for changing priorities + Ability to take independent action and remain organized under tight deadlines + Expert level understanding of telecommunications principles and technologies + Proficient in MS Office applications, Adobe Acrobat, Internet Explorer, MS Outlook. + Excellent oral and written communication skills are required in order to provide appropriate client support and interaction + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills + Works effectively in a team environment + Works well under pressure, remaining focused and calm in the face of distractions and changing priorities + Ability to prioritize workload + Up to 25% travel required Experience & Education + Bachelor’s degree in an accredited four-year college, university, specialized training, certification or equivalent work experience + 5-7 years’ experience supporting and implementing telecom systems and processes Highly Desired + Advanced knowledge and understanding of general telecommunications principles + Experience with Ring Central, Tango & Zoom a plus + Experience with MDM solutions + Experience in SAP a plus but not required + Ability to diagnose/troubleshoot issues and determine priority + Positive can-do attitude
