**Requisition ID: 101563** **Job Level: Mid Level** **Department: Project Controls Scheduling** **Market: Power** **Employment Type: Full Time** **Position Overview** As a Project Controls Manager you will play a key role in the providing timely and accurate project controls reporting and communicating to management for EPC power generation projects. This hands-on role will give you the opportunity to directly interface with the design, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure the path of construction is supported. **District Overview** Kiewit Power Delivery (KPD) provides direct-hire construction services for Power Delivery Services utilizing organized and open shop labor force.  Kiewit Power Delivery throughout North America currently consists of Transmission & Distribution, Wind and Solar Projects.  All of Kiewit Power is committed to Kiewit’s “Nobody Gets Hurt” Philosophy. **Location** This position is based out of Lenexa, KS and requires a monthly visit to the project site. **Responsibilities** + Responsible for managing design quantities, and incorporating any changes from estimate into all quantity, cost, and schedule reporting. + Manage a project controls team, including an engineering and construction scheduler, a cost analyst, and discipline focused Advanced Work Packaging team. + Responsible for providing timely and accurate project controls reporting and communication to management for EPC and construct only projects. + Reporting includes earned value schedule progress, cost vs budget, cost and schedule forecasting, and scope change throughout the project for both construction, engineering, and start up. + Support supervision through development, preparation and maintenance of forecasts, schedules and Executive Management Summary Reports using knowledge of construction and engineering principles and concepts. + Analyze work progress and craft productivity reports, use this analyze to update project forecast. + Interface with other construction departments to provide scheduling data for items such as subcontract change requests, bid comparisons, change order estimates, and resolutions of potential schedule/work problems. + Perform critical path and time impact analysis to document current conditions and change management on the project. + Lead a team focused on work packaging. Ensure all work packages support construction sequence. **Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in Civil/ Mechanical / Electrical Engineering + Three years’ experience as a Project Controls Manager, Project Engineer, or Scheduling Manager. Post bachelor’s experience (3 years with a Master’s or 5 years with a Bachelor’s) is required and must include: + Preparing monthly cost reports & cost forecasts, including earned value analysis by Work Breakdown Structure, actual spent hours & cost, overall & detailed budget versus cost comparison, forecasted cost at project completion & identification of cost & schedule overrun risk. + Scheduling: Preparing Primavera P6 resource loaded schedules, update activities, organize & coordinate interactive planning sessions. + Estimating: Utilize estimating software to prepare engineering & construction estimates, including quantity take-off of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, structural & civil scope of work using Process & Instrumentation Diagrams, mechanical equipment lists, instrumentation lists, engineering drawings, material specifications & engineering specifications; Developing key performance indicators, statistics & compare baseline historical data with current data to study variances. + Startup and Commissioning: Developing the system turnover, startup & commissioning schedule, tracking & maintain progress of systems based on startup systems identified on process and instrumentation diagrams & project contract requirements. _We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
