About the Job We are currently seeking an Lead Carpenter for our Easthampton office. Carpenter will manage and complete jobs according to Beyond Green Construction procedures. The Lead Carpenter will perform skilled carpentry tasks including both rough and finish carpentry. They will provide guidance and supervision to the field staff by delegating tasks, responding to client's request, coordinating with Project Management, and regularly inspecting the work completed to ensure it conforms to the project specifications and quality. Applicants must have a minimum of 2-3 years frame-to-finish carpentry experience; possess basic tools, reliable transportation, and a positive, can-do attitude. A willingness to learn, attention to detail, and a strong ability to process information quickly and accurately is required. Perform sales and marketing activities including add-on sales and security checks. Communicate and establish relationships with customers. Clean and maintain vehicles, equipment, warehouse and office areas. Responsibilities Problem Solving Collecting payment from clients Ensure company and customer satisfaction through professional appearance, expert workmanship, and polite communication Attend all company meetings as outlined by management Provide transportation of materials to job sites as needed Follow building plans and specifications to meet client's needs and current building codes Maintain a clean and safe working environment Meet with subcontractors and facilitate their work Provide material take-offs Verify and confirm material lead times as needed to maintain an efficient schedule Inform the Project Manager of the progress of the project, including any customer concerns, problems, delays, etc. Be responsible for the efficient and profitable use of the company's time, manpower, and materials on each project Maintain an operational personal inventory of necessary tools, safety equipment, and vehicle to perform the specific activities assigned by management Seek additional responsibility and guidance from company management employees as needed to enhance existing skills, learn new skills, and create potential for advancement within the company Qualifications Valid driver's license 2 years of carpentry experience Reliable transportation Previous insulation or light carpentry experience is preferred Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs Comfortable in confined, sometimes cluttered conditions Comfortable on tall ladders and rooftops Must be able to pass a background check and drug test Compensation and Benefits Carpenter earn between $20 and $30 per hour (based on experience and performance) Paid time off Flexible work hours with unlimited overtime Career advancement opportunities Preferred Experience: Hoisting License Lead RRP Certificate OSHA 10 or 30 Mask Fitting
