May include measuring, cutting, assembling, and bolting structural framing and solar modules.less than/p>less thanp>less thanstrong>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:less than/strong>less than/p>less thanul>less thanli>less thanp>Promote and comply with all Company and safety policies and proceduresless than/p>less than/li>less thanli>less thanp>Use appropriate hand tools (i.e. crescent wrench, pliers, hammer, screwdriver, etc.) and power tools (i.e. Drills, Impact Wrenches) to perform a variety of functions to install photovoltaic (PV) systems in accordance with codes and standards using drawings, schematics, and instructions.less than/p>less than/li>less thanli>less thanp>Lay-out, assemble and install solar modules, panels, or support structures, as specified.less than/p>less than/li>less thanli>less thanp>Apply weather sealing to array, building, or support mechanisms.less than/p>less than/li>less thanli>less thanp>Identify methods for laying out, orienting, and mounting modules or arrays to ensure efficient installation, electrical configuration, or system maintenance.less than/p>less than/li>less thanli>less thanp>Identify and resolve any deficiencies in photovoltaic (PV) system installation or materials.less than/p>less than/li>less thanli>less thanp>Install required labels on solar system components and hardware.less than/p>less than/li>less thanli>less thanp>Determine materials, equipment, and installation sequences necessary to maximize installation efficiency.less than/p>less than/li>less thanli>less thanp>Install active solar systems, including solar collectors, concentrators, pumps, or fans.less than/p>less than/li>less thanli>less thanp>Activate photovoltaic (PV) systems to verify system functionality and conformity to performance expectations.less than/p>less than/li>less thanli>less thanp>Lift, carry and hold building materials, tools, and supplies; clean tools, equipment, material, and work areas; mix, pour and spread concrete, asphalt, gravel and other materials; Bend, cut, thread, join, wrap and seal sections of rigid / PVC conduitless than/p>less than/li>less thanli>less thanp>Installing power whips and harnesses; driving stakes; perform cleaning, compacting, grading, painting, sanding or stripping operationsless than/p>less than/li>less thanli>less thanp>Compile or maintain records of system operation, performance, and maintenance.less than/p>less than/li>less thanli>less thanp>Perform a variety of routine, non-machine tasks, including, but not limited to removing forms from set concrete, filling expansion joints with asphalt, digging, spreading and leveling dirt and gravel, using pick, shovel and wheelbarrow.less than/p>less than/li>less thanli>less thanp>Take reasonable care of your own and others health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward Wanzeks Zero Injury principles. If needed, use your stop work authority until the issue is resolved.less than/p>less than/li>less thanli>less thanp>Report all accidents and near misses to supervisor; participate in investigation process as needed.less than/p>less than/li>less thanli>less thanp>Participate in all pre-job work planning and safety discussions. Identify safety hazards you or other employees may be subject to and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate and/or mitigate hazards.less than/p>less than/li>less thanli>less thanp>Understand and respond appropriately to all safety hazards and warning devices (i.e. back-up alarms, smell of smoke, different colored warning tags, warning sirens).less than/p>less than/li>less thanli>less thanp>Understand, support, and follow lockout tag out procedures.
