Job Description

Raise Green is a financial technology company that allows anyone to invest in local, community resilience using our SEC licensed and FINRA approved crowdfunding investment portal. We offer a two-sided marketplace in which solar project creators can crowdfund their projects and individuals can invest in those projects. Our inclusive financing model can be used for any project that has a contractual cash flow such as community solar, microgrids, electrical vehicle infrastructure, community agriculture, energy efficiency, and battery deployments — as long as social and environmental benefits are at the core of their design. We crowdfund a healthy, just, and sustainable future that allows anyone to own resilient, local infrastructure.

Our Renewable Energy Finance Intern is dedicated to fighting climate change and income inequality.  You are not afraid to study state and federal incentive programs, run through complex Excel models, and learn financial concepts. Your work will contribute to shrinking utility scale projects to the community scale by modeling new financial structures. On a daily basis, you’ll be cranking through several models of potential projects brought to us by community members. Your work will involve running different scenarios, creating summary dashboards, and sharing your findings with the team.

You should be comfortable adapting to the fast-changing nature of an early stage startup.  We look forward to making space for you to create what you imagine is possible, desirable, and inspiring. Raise Green’s Renewable Energy Finance Intern will be a vanguard in finance charge against climate change —  this is the defining decade. We have to make a difference.

  • Strong understanding of energy concepts and electricity grid
  • Confidence using Excel to audit and build complex models (bonus points for python and R)
  • Interest in distilling legal documents to financial variables
  • Passion for social justice, sustainable finance, and the environment
