Job Description

Coupeville Farm to School is hosting an AmeriCorps member for a year of service connecting kids to healthy food from seed-to-table through growing, preparing, and eating healthy food.  Corps members will be applying to be a part of a statewide initiative organizationally hosted by Common Threads and have the opportunity to serve in Coupeville, WA on beautiful Whidbey Island.

The AmeriCorps Youth Food Educator Will...

  • Lead garden lessons in the spring and fall
  • Lead cooking lessons in the winter
  • Lead after school programming and clubs
  • Support special events for families
  • Support social media and website development
  • Maintain and improve school gardens
  • Work in the Coupeville School District with teachers, administrators, families, and students!

This is a full time AmeriCorps service position lasting 11.5 months with a bi-weekly living stipend of roughly $650/week. Coupeville Farm to School will work with all applicants to find affordable housing during the duration of the term of service.
