**National Grid is hiring a Lead Program Manager, Customer Energy Integration for our Customer Organization in Waltham, MA\.**
+ Provide support for the development of Distributed Generation and Renewable Energy programs in state of Massachusetts or Rhode Island or New York\.
+ Act as the primary point of contact & process improvement champion to internal & external stakeholders\.
+ Work cross functionally with Regulatory, Legal, Billing, Operations, Finance, Contracts, IT and Customer Support centers for successful execution of process improvement initiatives\.
+ Maintain and analyze data to accurately forecast DG activities\. Identify external drivers for the growth of interconnections in respective states
+ Manage processes and procedures related to Distributed Generation Interconnection and renewable energy programs in MA, RI & UNY\.
+ Develop and maintain effective relationships with Regulatory, Legal, Billing, Operations, Finance, Contracts, IT, Account Development, New Energy Solutions, jurisdictional teams and external vendors in order to facilitate communications, integrate work and ensure the successful delivery of Distributed generation interconnections and renewable energy programs\.
+ Challenge existing policies and procedures to continuously seek ways to enhance customer service and cost\-effectiveness\.
+ Foster the culture of continuous improvement and team collaboration\.
+ Provide technical guidance, support and coaching to others in order to share knowledge and increase understanding of Distributed Generation programs and services\.
+ Analyze and evaluate developments in Distributed Generation and Renewable Energy technologies in order to identify impact of different scenarios on the business and strategies for integrating cost efficiencies\.
+ Update and maintain team hub and cross function leadership hub
+ Generating various external & internal reports and responds to regulatory data requests\.
+ Monitor processes to regularly inspect quality levels including field inspections, data entry, data validation, and internal audits to ensure quality standards are being met\. Identify and implement continuous improvement\.
+ Bachelor’s degree required and 7\+ years of related work experience\. Master’s degree or other certification is preferred\.
+ Utility or Government Agency program experience\.
+ Experience in Renewable Energy, Energy Storage or other related programs is preferred\.
+ Ability to develop proficiency with NY, MA, RI and NH tariffs, especially as they relate to Distributed Generation
+ Demonstrated superior customer service and analytical skills
+ Demonstrates the ability to interpret information and analyze relationships among several parts of a problem or situation in order to clearly articulate the findings and anticipates obstacles and thinks ahead about next steps\.
+ Understands and identifies training or developmental needs of others and has the ability to design and establish new programs of work to support them\.
+ Support and be part of a team environment\.
+ Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills including human resource management, negotiations and communications\. Let’s people affected by a decision know what’s happening and is able to clearly articulate reasons for a decision\.
+ Understands theory behind policies and processes and demonstrates the ability to challenge existing processes and ways of working e\.g\. taking action to avoid future crisis or create opportunities to improve existing practices\.
+ Familiarity with Net Metering, Solar renewable Energy Credits, state incentive programs and other renewable energy drivers\.
+ Familiarity with rate tariff, billing system, rate recovery mechanism and qualifying facilities\.
+ Basic knowledge of power system components, engineering concepts and interconnections\.
+ Experience in renewable energy, regulatory filing and/ or people management a major plus\.
+ Extensive knowledge or willing to understand various regulatory policies and interconnection related standards\.
+ Able to translate market trends into actionable strategies for the department\. Recommend/ oversee changes to existing strategies\.
+ Ability to be trained on Tableau reporting tool or knowledge will be a plus\.
+ Strong project planning and management skills
