We are looking for prior customer service experience and a passion for helping others. As a member of the Sheraton, you will have access to a great training program and will help you succeed and achieve your goals while going above & beyond to exceed guest expectations! Shift: Full time - Weekdays and occasional weekends What can we offer you? In addition to great pay, benefits, and awesome hotel stay discounts, we offer both full-time (30+ hours per week) and flexible part-time employment. Weekends can get pretty busy, so we do require weekend schedule availability to get started. Starting Pay at $11.50/hour. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1. Specific Job Responsibilities + Clean guest rooms in accordance with established quality and performance standards to allow a sufficient quantity of vacant and clean guest rooms for sale + Report, turn in, all lost and found items from guest rooms, and throughout hotel + Enter guest rooms following procedures for gaining access and ensuring vacancy before entering + Replace dirty linens and towels with clean items, make beds and fold towels, and clean bathrooms + Replace guest amenities and supplies in room + Remove trash, dirty linen, and room service items + Check that all appliances are present in the room and in working order + Straighten desk items, furniture, and appliances + Vacuum carpets and perform floor care duties (e.g., in guest rooms and hallway) + Dust, polish, and remove marks from walls and furnishings + Organize and stock cleaning cart and organize linen closets on floors assigned + Perform other duties as requested, (i.e. cleaning unexpected spills; executing special guest requests) + Report/communicate any maintenance needs found in guest rooms while cleaning + Assist other housekeeping associates in maintaining clean and organized work and public areas + Anticipate customer needs with the ability to change goals and direction quickly + Maintains customer service and excellent relations with guests, visitors, vendors and other external or internal organizations + Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas + Meet standards for room completion with quality results 2. Customer Focus + Works as a team player and interacts with all internal and external customers in a friendly/efficient manner + All guests must be treated in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction + Always strive to exceed guests’ expectations and meet brand standards 3. Accountability + Produces required volume of work by planning, organizing, and prioritizing work duties + Adheres to Sherman Associates attendance policy, grooming and appearance standards, general work rules, and department procedures + Maintains a clean and safe work environment, follows all procedures for guests and employee incidents and is knowledgeable for hotel emergency procedures + Attends all required department and hotel meetings Required Experience: + No prior housekeeping experience required; Customer service experience in the hospitality industry strongly preferred + Ability to communicate effectively and follow directions in a multi-lingual environment + Must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance + A passion for the mission, vision, and values of Sherman Associates + Schedule may vary due to the specific needs of the hotel + Ensure compliance with brand standards, federal, state and local hotel laws regarding health and safety services This job advertisement is intended to provide information essential to understanding the scope of the position.
