Provides strategic direction and senior-level support for IT Change Management, Problem Management, and Code Management areas.
Working independently, with minimal supervision, develops, recommends, and implements Change Management policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures to manage hardware, software, and network changes in a diverse, multi-platform computing environment.
Develops, recommends, and implements robust Code Management solutions that comply with appropriate IT Risk Management policies across diverse, multi-platform computing environments. Recommends, implements, and maintains Problem Management technology and problem support for end users.
Advises on effectiveness of Change Management programs. Consults with management and staff on implementation of change-related products and procedures. Leads multiple, moderately complex projects concurrently. Maintains awareness of industry trends and changes in ITIL standards.
Responds to internal and external changes and recommends introduction of new procedures or tools into the existing environment, to meet compliance standards and business area needs.
Performs and may lead critical Operational Readiness Reviews, which may include detailed assessment and evaluation of all major IT aspects of new applications or significant upgrades, prior to an application moving into a production environment.
Supports several business units in multi-platform environments, on multiple project assignments. Anticipates necessary changes in software applications and systems, using in-depth knowledge of each line of business.
Provides guidance and advice to less-experienced change control coordinators, on the application of Change and Code Management policies, adherence to and implementation of Compliance policies, Problem Management administration, and Infrastructure administration.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
+ Minimum of 5 years of related IT experience.
+ Experience in Change Management in a diverse, multi-platform environment, utilizing ITIL standard practices.
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ Excellent understanding of IT infrastructure environment, including the development process, and environments for key business area applications a plus.
+ Demonstrated ability to research, test, develop, and maintain change control standards and procedures. High degree of proficiency with Windows, Unix, CA Service Desk Manager, Service Now, CA Endevor, JCL, JCLPrep, TSO/ISPF, TFS, Jenkins, and Release Manager.
+ Knowledge of version, release, and configuration management disciplines. Ability to identify and seek resolution to recognized change management issues.
+ Effective communicator with excellent negotiation skills.
+ Commitment to providing quality service to customers, while maintaining a high level of customer trust and confidence.
+ Demonstrated ability to perform a variety of duties simultaneously, and to meet aggressive deadlines and objectives in a fast-paced environment.
+ Proven willingness to take ownership of change management issues or projects. Project management skills.
+ Ability to effectively communicate with various IT groups regarding change management practices and procedures.
+ Ability to identify and evaluate impact and risk associated with change implementation, in a complex production IT environment.
+ Ability to work independently. Compliance mindset, with understanding of the current policies and regulations affecting Change, Code, and Problem Management processes.
Bachelors Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education.
Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Math or Business or technical training equivalent a plus.
