The Radiation Decontamination Technician will be responsible for the following:
Maintain and operate decontamination equipment, facilities and supplies.
Perform general housekeeping duties in restricted controlled areas.
Decontaminate plant surface and equipment.
Perform leak reduction to control the spread of contamination.
Erect, install and remove contamination control shielding.
Operate contaminated laundry facility.
Transfer radioactive material and compact radioactive waste.
Monitor and maintain protective clothing supplies.
Install ventilation and vacuum cleaning equipment.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
+ 0-2 years of power plant or laborer experience
+ The successful progression through and final completion of the Training Program for Decon Technicians.
+ Prior nuclear power plant experience preferred.
