DPI’s operates across six continents and implements rigorous safety standards, technological innovations and environmental awareness. **Job Description** As a member of the Equinor Canada Offshore East Coast Operations Team, the student will work closely with Asset Manager, senior reservoir & production engineers to help provide diligent monitoring of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and efficient follow-up of operated and non-operated Statoil assets (including the Hibernia and Terra Nova oilfield developments). Upon completion of this assignment, the student will have obtained a significant overview of the upstream oil producing value chain with direct exposure to the oil and gas industry core competencies of reservoir, production and facilities engineering. ACCOUNTABILITIES: Specific duties will include (but not be limited to): Assist with reviewing various forms of multidisciplinary project data, analyze, and then effectively communicating areas requiring focus to achieve superior performance; Collection and review of daily and weekly asset operations, drilling, and health & safety reports followed by preparation and distribution of internal reports and KPIs to senior management; Monitor and analyze production and injection well performance; Monitor and analyze field development and exploration well drilling activities; Prepare and deliver weekly multidisciplinary staff meeting presentations; Provide support to senior engineers in conducting production, reservoir management and drilling optimization studies and develop recommendations complete with implementation plans; A term project will also be required that will likely be directly relevant to the Operations department. **Qualifications** Engineering student from the following faculties: Mechanical/Civil/Process Engineering; To be considered for this position, you must be eligible to work in Canada without company assistance; Proficiency in the use of engineering tool software such as MS Excel, Powerpoint, Power BI and Access is considered an asset; Experience with reservoir simulation modeling software (Eclipse/Petrel) and well inflow performance calculation software (Prosper) would also be beneficial but not essential; The candidate should be familiar with petroleum development and production **Personal Qualities** Ability to live by "I am safety" expectations Takes initiative and has strong follow up skills; Strong knowledge and experience using Excel macros and PowerPoint presentations; A team player and contributor to the success of our project by working effectively in a team environment with Geology, Geophysics and other Engineering disciplines; Independent work ethic and at the same time, ability to be a strong team player with a “hands on” attitude to cooperate effectively in a matrix organization; Excellent written and oral command of English; Strong interpersonal skills. **We Offer** Equinor offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefit package.
