This individual should have advanced knowledge of local, state, and federal code requirements for their projects. General electrical knowledge will be very beneficial for this position as well. They must be problem solvers who multitask effectively and work well with other inspectors to reach construction objectives in a timely manner. They should also have excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with other contractors, vendors, and government officials.
+ Work with local town inspectors on solar projects and sites to ensure safe working conditions, correct materials, and eventual structural integrity.
+ Examine, draw, and write reports and diagrams to demonstrate progress and plans, including those necessary for permits.
+ Examine plans and blueprints to identify errors in design and construction, then communicate those findings.
+ Ability to use appropriate tools to repair and replace equipment as needed
+ Ability to read blue prints and understand the NEC code book
