Job Summary This position is responsible for performing administrative activities for the construction department in the Asheville Operations Center. Duties and responsibilities include coordinating and adjusting scheduling of various installations, jobbing, maintenance activities, retaining records of work schedules, dispatching, assuring quality of work orders by accumulating and verifying required information, tracking outstanding work orders, performing data collection and entry, spreadsheet development, monitoring daily work processes and measures, preparing performance reports, assisting with inventory control functions including recording of receipt and transfer of inventory into and out of warehouses, generating billing necessary to recover costs associated with third partyrelocates and service work, acting as liaison between customers and employees to ensure efficient and effective service delivery, receiving of complaints, verifying information and working with appropriate personnel to ensure prompt and effective resolution of complaints, entering time sheets in the Epsilon time keeping system, and providing all administrative support to construction employees and supervisors. Administrative support will also be provided to service employees and supervisors, as needed. Position will be expected to become fully cross-trained with other office personnel. Position hours are 7:00am – 4:00pm, Monday through Friday and are subject to change based on business need. Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience 2-5 years of administrative/clerical experience or related field. Must have strong computer knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office products; must have strong keyboarding skills and internet navigation skills; must be able to work independently and as a team; must be able to learn and utilize various company computer programs (such as: Customer Information Systems, Geographical Information Systems, PeopleSoft, Extra Web TMS, Power Plant, Mapframe, Gas Ops, Teradata, Timekeeping systems, LDF (Leak, Damage, Failure) management, DTC, Click, FileNet, and the two-way radio system); must have strong organizational, administrative, and multi-tasking skills; must have strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills for interactions with internal and external customers; must be able to demonstrate ability to fully cross train with other office personnel; and must be able to participate in assigned emergency response activities. Bilingual candidates are preferred. Education Requirements Completion of high school or equivalent (i.e., GED) accredited by an organization that is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or one of the entities recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
