In order to successfully market CivicSolar to current and potential customers, it is critical to both understand the solar industry and our company?s core role and responsibilities as a solar equipment distributor. Each day our Account Managers directly educate solar contractors across the United States about the technologies we offer and services we provide. They guide contractors through the sale and purchase of equipment and support them with outstanding customer service. To best serve our customers, it is imperative to understand who our customers are and what they value.
Day to Day:
As the Marketing Manager, you will work closely with the VP of Marketing to help improve the CivicSolar customer experience and continue to understand our evolving and dynamic market. Strong writing and communication skills are imperative. Your role is essential to our brand success. Key activities include:
+ Market Development Funds (MDF)
+ Crafting MDF programs that help supplier partners grow their brand with unmatched reach into the long tail of U.S. independent solar contractors.
+ MDF Proposal Development
+ MDF Accounting & Quarterly Activity Reporting
+ MDF communication and coordinating with manufacturer partners
+ Management of manufacturer SPIF programs and reporting.
+ Content Development
+ Coordination, development, and automation of Digital Content (Website, Email Campaigns, Social Media)
+ Assist with Event / Tradeshow Coordination, ie: SPI, Intersolar, Regional SEIA
+ Develop and execute Webinars in conjunction with our supply partners to both further product or process knowledge and active lead generation.
+ Contribute to marketing strategy planning and execution
+ Manage the creation and execution of the monthly CivicSolar Advisor newsletter.
+ Pardot expertise and management for digital marketing campaigns
+ Lead Generation
+ Develop new qualified marketing leads, ultimately sales qualified leads and prospects, for the Account Management team
+ Understand and track the effectiveness of CivicSolar web forms and activity
+ Use customer segmentation data to help target customers and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of CivicSolar?s marketing efforts
+ Building and distribution of lead generation reports post all marketing activities
+ Reporting on website KPI
+ Working closely with the VP of Marketing both defining and achieving Marketing OKR on a quarterly basis
+ Assistance in the creation, management, and execution of the communication schedule.
+ Ensuring consistent communication without overburdening our contractor customers.
+ Digital design
+ Working closely with our VP of Marketing and Creative Director to both protect and perpetuate the CivicSolar brand through communication and continuity of design aesthetic.
+ Internship program
+ Play an active role in identifying, recruiting and managing marketing interns through the MassCEC, UC Berkeley, and/or CIEE.
This role will require a demonstrated understanding of marketing and the ability to use and develop digital marketing software. It will require disciplined time management to be successful. It will also require organized, effective communication with your customers and internally with the VP of Marketing, Sales, and Product Management teams. This experience will provide you the additional experience and knowledge to develop exciting, creative and, most importantly, effective marketing programs. You will be representing CivicSolar with potential customers while also serving existing customers and external partners. Digital fluency is a requirement. In addition to all of these qualities, you must have a strong cultural fit into a dynamic, mission-driven organization.
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
+ Proven communication skills - verbal and written.
+ Detail orientation with strong organizational skills.
+ Working knowledge of Salesforce, Pardot and Adobe Creative Suite not required but a plus; the desire and inclination to learn these key software applications is a must.
