Fenix is seeking an energetic, dynamic and bilingual (English and Portuguese) Marketing Assistant to support the Commercial Unit in the marketing penetration by implementing marketing initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to further a career in marketing/communications at a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and impactful startup. You will project management exciting new initiatives in marketing and communications, playing a key role in the development of new strategies.

+ Collaborating with the Global Marketing Team to design and structure integrated marketing campaigns to build awareness and drive sales of Fenix Solar Products.
+ Managing the execution of below the line marketing activities, such as brand activations, door to door sales, free fair, road shows, Fenix Solar Products exhibitions, merchandising and others.
+ Managing the execution of our nascent above the line marketing channels such as local radio, print, outdoor and digital; this will include conducting basic graphic design work.
+ Creation of marketing materials for the Mozambican market and collaborating with local partners to ensure adherence to Fenix and their partners' marketing and branding guidelines.
+ Developing and implementing with the relevant departments' activities to promote brand and display in the stores.
+ Evaluating the efficacy of different radio stations using both internal and external monitoring data.
+ Drafting engaging and insightful content for ads, interviews, and other public-facing communications.
+ Supporting communication through internal and external channels including social media, email, SMS, and more.
+ Managing the mechanics of promotions and giveaways, ensuring the expectations of the target market are fully met.
+ Collaborating with the rest of the team to ensure all campaigns are executed successfully, providing leadership and covering for other areas of work as required.
+ Supporting the Country Lead with special projects as required, such as market research, public relations opportunities, partner presentations, etc.
+ Documenting marketing processes and creating templates for easy execution of core functions (e.g. booking radio) and short campaigns (e.g. public holidays and once-off events).
+ Collect, analyze and report feedback to contribute directly to Fenix leadership.
Required Skills & Experience
+ At least 2 years experience in a similar marketing position, with a track record of executing successful integrated marketing campaigns.
+ A deep understanding of the marketing landscape, with a strong understanding of appropriate marketing tactics for the Fenix target audience.
+ Curious and passionate about Fenix customers, with a holistic view of the customer experience.
+ Excellent verbal and written skills in English and Portuguese, with additional local language skills desirable.
+ Strong critical thinker, independently minded and creative.
+ Highly diligent, with excellent attention to detail.
+ Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
+ Strong written and verbal communicator.
+ Quick to take initiative and comfortable making decisions.
+ Eager to learn, spend time in the field and take on new challenges as they emerge.
