Wood is seeking an Solar Analyst, Renewables to manage the technology and pre-sales client relationships. Successful candidates who are strong leaders, with solid communication and interpersonal skills, along with the technical knowledge and experiences in each aspect of the renewables market, will thrive in this role. He/she will have demonstrated success in managing client expectations and guiding the team towards meeting them, and a desire to help grow the business, mentoring and coaching members of the team.
+ Integral part of the proposal team that will break down RFP and develop win plan that meets client expectations
+ Lead client communication to submit the proposal, answer questions, etc
+ Lead process from proposal submission to contract execution
+ Technology vendor lead to support forward looking pricing, technology changes, etc.. (from a business prospective, not engineering)
+ Support preconstruction activities and project handoff to the execution team
+ Have client account lead during execution to ensure successful execution
+ Support business development by brining access to clients in his network that we aren’t currently working with.
+ Provide mentoring to PMs and other team members on client communication and business acumen.
+ Support with contract and exhibit review and execution
+ Support business development and the growth of battery storage opportunities
+ Manage the process using PM tools and communication with team members
+ Provides performance evaluations of lead project team members as required
+ Performs other duties as assigned by manager
+ Requires significant travel of between 50-75%
+ Direct the day to day operations of proposals to ensure client expectations are met
+ Delegate responsibility and assure its proper completion in line with corporate guidelines and policy
+ Bachelor's degree in relevant field along with 10-15 years relevant technical project experience required
+ Advanced knowledge of the solar industry including business and technology
+ Excellent organizational, leadership, communication, and analytical skills
+ Significant experience in lead roles in the management of renewable and/or heavy industrial self-performing construction operating units
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, plus demonstrated ability to work across varied disciplines
+ Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
+ Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence and memos
+ Ability to write simple correspondence
+ Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization
+ Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete and abstract variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
+ Must be eligible to work in the United States of America
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and/or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to type and write. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl. The employee must also occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision and color vision.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently inspect the project and may be exposed to ongoing construction and various weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment may range from moderate to loud.
