Local Unit .and.amp; Position DescriptionDNV GL - Energy Advisory division is seeking a Construction Manager/Director to join our team. Our Company has partnered with customers to create joint technological and commercial solutions at the cutting edge, acting as a catalyst and bridge between the players in the clean tech space to build trust, credibility and transparency. DNV GLs global resources and experience are used to create solutions suited for the Asian context with a solid grounding and deep knowledge from our European and American operations.THIS POSITION IS BASED OUT OF GUAMTASKS MAY INCLUDE* Create a Construction Management Plan* Establish and cultivate relationships and trust between all project stakeholders* Direct the activities of all personnel located at site such as subcontractors, engineers, suppliers, government agencies, consultants, owners, financiers, or any third-party personnel.* Manage staff budget and coordinate local labor contract agreements* Manage staff and discipline if necessary. If necessary, coordinate with the project Manager with respect to staff termination and hiring of replacement staff.* Manage Design Change Requests from Owners design team and ensure any variation orders by subcontractors are appropriately scoped and priced.* Coordinate with off-site project manager to execute variation orders with the Owner* Develops and maintains project team moralePosition QualificationsREQUIREMENTS* Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college. A technical degree such as engineering, physics, or statistics will be highly regarded; Or a minimum of 10 years of experience in related Construction Management role* Minimum 5 years of project management experience* Ability to start up a project team as well as to lead a team towards a common goal with minimal direction* Experience in the construction industry in infrastructure or Energy related projects preferred* Experience in Solar and Energy Storage projects is advantageous* Ability to assign and deliver team results using sound judgment under fast-paced, high stress scenarios* Systematic, meticulous, and creative troubleshooting skills* Curiosity, flexibility, and adaptability as issues and tasks may change quickly* Able to identify, document, and learn from mistakes* Strong written and verbal English communication skills* We conduct pre-employment drug and background screeningOPPORTUNITIES BEYOND BUSINESSOur mission is to safeguard life, property and the environment.
