For more information visit www.evergreen.ca Overview: The Financial Coordinator is involved in the daily functions of the finance department, ensuring transactions are entered accurately into the system in a timely manner. This position is primarily responsible for the administration of various accounts payable and receivable duties, such as the entry of vendor invoices and staff expenses, preparing invoices, as well as ad hoc reconciliations and the maintenance documents shared with cross functional teams. Key Responsibilities: Enter invoices and staff expense forms in SAGE on a weekly basis, ensure accuracy of tax expense and recoverable amounts based on rates in effect for each invoice Administer weekly cheque run and match cheques to invoices Maintain accounts payable vendors and accounts receivable customers in SAGE Record corporate credit card transactions in SAGE on a monthly basis Code administrative invoices and monthly billings Respond to vendor inquiries with an appropriate balance of relationship management and insight into Evergreen’s payment policies Prepare invoices based on department requests (includes donations and earned revenue) Record payment receipts into SAGE on a weekly basis (cash, cheques, credit cards) Complete weekly bank deposits, ensure deposit amounts reconcile to SAGE batches Maintain and reconcile petty cash Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly journal entries with supporting documentation Respond to ad hoc requests for financial assistance from internal and external sources Collect mail and photocopy and scan cheques Order and maintain office supplies in mail room Competencies: Attention to detail.
