JOB PURPOSE The Director of Operations will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the new branch as we launch in a new state. We are looking for a passionate individual with Operations Management experience. They need the ability to build a team from the ground up and communicate with departments across multiple states. This individual must be able to multi-task, work quickly and efficiently, and be adaptable to change priorities and tasks as needed. RESPONSIBILITIES + Lead production and operational management teams ensuring collaboration and cross-departmental efficiencies + Plan and monitor the day-to-day operations to ensure no interruptions in production + Create strategies to improve the efficiencies between Supply Chain, Production, Sales Operations, IT, Accounting and HR + Manage the overall welfare of the team; i.e. provide training and coaching and lead by example + Ensure the operations function in line with Cura?s mission and core values + Ensure health and safety regulations are followed + Lead weekly meetings with the management team to discuss supply/demand, new projects, and upcoming information + Oversee facility supply and packaging needs and facility/department/storage unit moves + Address company policy violations and work in conjunction with HR and direct managers to administer disciplinary action + Approve/deny internal costs and reimbursements; i.e. employee engagement and development, lunches, etc + Work closely with White Label: communication with project managers, the lab and production for hardware trials, customer samples, tracking shipments, project progress, plan production time and labor costs + Act as the main point of contact for security, and request all changes of security detail or SOP + Solve problems, put out fires, handle inter-departmental communication and help ensure the ship stays afloat QUALIFICATIONS + Effective solutions-based attitude and management style + Strong ability to multitask and work through constant interruption + Strong project management skills and experience + Highly organized and meticulous + Ability to handle high-stress situations + Team-oriented and collaborative with a positive attitude + Comfortable in a start-up environment - willingness and interest to roll up sleeves to do whatever it takes to get stuff done + Strong verbal and written communications skills + Proficient in all Office Suites (Google, Microsoft Office) + Proven experience in creating systems and processes + Ability and willingness to travel and work weekends when needed + Preferred: + At least 5 years? experience in Operations Management + Experience in a warehouse setting + Cannabis industry experience COMPENSATION + Depending on Experience ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE OVER THE AGE OF 21 YEARS TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR EMPLOYMENT AT CURA.
