Fluid is currently hiring for a Technical Field Specialist position as part of the Energy Efficiency Team. Technical Field Specialists perform a variety of field activities including inspections, in-home reviews, and program outreach under the supervision of the Program Manager.

Requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-Complete in-home assessments of the home's condition; interact with homeowners; inspect HVAC systems and ducts, insulation levels, lighting, appliances, windows, and showerheads/faucet aerators. This may include conducting some diagnostic and safety combustion testing and a blower door test (training and equipment provided).
-Discuss financing options and incentives available as appropriate
-Install energy saving showerheads, faucet aerators and light bulbs
-Discuss energy saving opportunities with the homeowners and program options available
-Record data on work performed on both paper forms, electronically, and using a digital camera
-Document and discuss concerns over job quality or program fraud with program supervisors
-Monitor and report on program trends with program staff in order to make improvements
-Perform outreach activities including participating in events and acting as a liaison to marketing
-Attend meetings as required

REQUIRED SKILLS
-Minimum one year experience in customer service and/or energy-efficiency related field
-Two-year degree in energy management or equivalent preferred
-Strong communication and outgoing, customer-service oriented interpersonal skills
-Experience with receiving and recording inventory
-Comfortable using data entry software systems, email, and Microsoft Word and Excel programs
-Ability to lift 40 lbs. and physically inspect homes, which may include using a ladder and working in attics and crawlspaces
-Understanding of basic home maintenance and repair
-Ability to call on customers some evenings and Saturdays
-PTCS Duct and Heat Pump Certification
-Regional travel in your own vehicle required
