Business Development Manager/Country Manager, Sao Paulo, Brazil, R$ 210,000BLR - R$260,000 BLR + bonus 
 
My client is a well established multinational manufacturer and project developer specialized in the solar market. They provide ongoing support throughout the entire installation lifecycle, offering an expert, customized service, based on the customers needs. They are rapidly expanding in to the South American market and spot Brazil as a country with a lot of potential for the renewable industry, and therefore they are looking to bring on a BDM/Country Manager to help with the company’s growth through 2012 and onwards.
 
 
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will need to have a commercial acumen to ensure that the business is successfully progressing. It is key that you are able to develop relationships, have strong negotiation and pricing skills and also have the technical understanding to ensure that products and services are being sold.
 
Responsibilities:
•Coordinate the activities of the company in Brazil
•P&L control
•Identify, assess and create project development opportunities
•Will be conducting market analysis and feasibility and risk assessment studies on a daily basis
•Will manage big accounts (B2I)
•Assessing profitability of potential clients/customers and successful development
•Product negotiations 
•Project financing
•Lead a team on sales and maintenance engineers
 
Education:
•Educated to BSc/in Engineering degree.
 
Core Requirements:
•Al least 5 years of experience identifying and assessing business development opportunities, ideally in a renewable energy or energies in general.
•Must have excellent negotiation skills
•Must be someone proactive
•Have experience in conducting market analysis and identifying new opportunities.
 
General Requirements:
•Must be willing to travel within Brazil.
•Speak Spanish and English, Portuguese is a plus.
