My client is a rapidly expanding tier 1 cell and module manufacturer globally and is currently looking for a VP of Finance to be based in China. My client is looking for someone who can hit the ground running and therefore you will be required to have proven background in managing the day to day financials of a global organisation.
Position Overview:
This is an exceptional opportunity for a strong candidate to join a very successful multinational organisation in which they would be able to develop their professional careers and build their portfolio on a more international and global level. You will be responsible for the management of all company finances and will provide leadership and coordination in the administrative, business planning, budgeting and accounting efforts.
Support the CEO to lead and drive financial initiatives 
Create, coordinate and evaluate financial infrastructure and programs 
Oversee the approval & processing of revenue, expenditure, & position control documents, department budgets, mass salary updates, ledger, & account maintenance & data entry
Ensure records systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards
Develop and manage relationships with utilities, developers, and external services providers
Develop relationships with IPP's, EPC's, large developers and other channel partners Identify project opportunities with utilities 
Structuring and negotiation of project finance loan documentation and share purchase agreements
Overseeing the work of the sales team for the finalization of key project contracts to achieve financial close
Detailed analysis of financial risk and liability
Must be educated to a minimum BS level in Finance or Accounting. Master’s Degree or MBA with emphasis in Finance or related studies is preferred
Core Requirements:
5 to 10 years of prior experience working in a lead financial role within a internationally established company
3+ years experience in the Solar industry
Strong knowledge of project finance, including structuring and negotiation of financings 
Experience in strategic planning & execution
Knowledge of contract, negotiation, change management, finance, accounting, budgeting & cost control principles
Ability to analyze, prepare financial reports, statements & projection
Hands-on approach on existing investments
International business development and origination
Critical assessment and due diligence of investment opportunities 
Must be fluent in Chinese and willing to relocate to China if necessary
General Requirements:
Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
Proven ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
Advanced Excel skills, familiarity with Word and PowerPoint. Prior international and emerging market transactional experience is a plus
Excellent communication skills in both oral and written English with additional language skills a plus
Key Skills: Renewable energy, solar, strong finance background (Master degree in Finance is preferred), originating, negotiating, structuring and executing large scale finance transactions, knowledge of contract, negotiation, change management, finance, accounting, budgeting & cost control principles
