View is a fast growing company that is changing the landscape of the building industry with our Dynamic Glass system. The role of Higher Education Business Manager requires an established product marketing professional with a track record in marketing technology-based products or systems within the Higher Education Industry. The Business Manager position, tasked with marketing smart architectural glass applications to Higher Ed project teams and institutions, is primarily responsible for contributing to and executing on our segment strategy. He /She will be charged with increasing brand awareness, showcasing relevant product benefits, promoting product segment awareness.

The Higher Education Business Manager will work across many areas of the company. He/She will work with business development and marketing communications to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer. He/She will also serve as the internal and external expert for our product in the Higher Education market, working with the sales team, the sales channel, and key customers. The Business Manager will spend considerable time in the market to understand their problems and find innovative solutions for the rapid adoption in their market.

This position will be based in Milpitas, CA.





  • Define the Higher Education market strategy and direction.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of our core product and develop a value proposition optimized for the Education / Higher Education market.
  • Work with corporate product and marketing to lead market-specific product collateral (internal and external) and content.  Manage consistency of message across the business segment and integrate this with the broader company.
  • Guide solution/product brand management; help define and enforce positioning and target marketing for Higher Education segments, and for rollout of individual new features in assigned product areas.
  • Work with sales team with the necessary technical expertise to enable them to sell the product.
  • Act as a liaison with the field sales force to assess the response to and suitability of current promotional material and to ensure that the printed promotional material is being used effectively.
  • Act as point of first reference for all product related inquiries in the Higher Education market and work collaboratively with internal members to address issues as they arise
  • Meet with customers, business partners, and industry contacts to inform strategy and promote awareness.
  • Work with industry associations to establish thought leadership regarding the product and its impact on high performance buildings.
  • Grasp key market trends and competitor information for Higher Education market; keep abreast of emerging marketing approaches and best practices to develop an effective plan and .continually improving product specific programs
  • Assist with the development of the annual sales and marketing plans and for controlling advertising, promotion and sales aids in accordance with the annual marketing plan.


  • 7+ years of experience in sales or product marketing & communications, with prior experience with in Higher Education
  • Proven success in marketing of technology products and/or services; candidates with experience marketing to Higher Education institutions or relevant Higher Education experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience in building innovative, proactive, high impact marketing campaigns utilizing all relevant channels and media; and aligning marketing strategy with business goals.
  • Solid written and verbal communication/presentation skills to interface with external sales teams, industry partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience analyzing market/industry data including competitive intelligence to support new offering introductions and the development of marketing campaigns a plus.
  • Business focus with a strong technical and/or construction background
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field


  • Direct Higher Education sector experience in the facilities, design, or planning fields.
  • Previous start up environment experience
  • Master’s in business administration
  • Demonstrated ability to work with senior level executives with a practical, "roll-up your sleeves" style.
